FESTIVE DRINKS WITH BINKY & OLLIE

THREE x CAFFÉ NERO

PRODUCTION: JIST

A Christmas campaign for Three's tie-in with Caffé Nero featuring Made in Chelsea royalty, Binky and Ollie. A quick turnaround edit and even quicker cuts for the predominantly TikTok audience. I really enjoy jobs like this where you're left with zero fat in the edit – there's something weirdly satisfying about squeezing an hour of footage into a minute.

5G CITY CHALLENGE

THREE

PRODUCTION: JIST

Here's another set of high-energy social clips for Three! This one was aimed at students returning to university, using regionally popular TikTokkers charging round Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow looking for clues. Really fun to edit this total chaos for Mischief PR.

THE DIRECTOR OF LOVE

COSTA COFFEE

PRODUCTION: JIST

Ronan Keating (of Boyzone fame) was appointed Costa's 'Director of Love' for this campaign from W Communications. This was a super fast turnaround project with many deliverables. I cut a few of them and organised a team of editors to ensure we met the tight deadline.

EXPLOSIVE FLAVOURS

WEETABIX

PRODUCTION: JIST

A lockdown-era online ad for Weetabix's flavour range. Supplied for YouTube pre-roll with 6s bumpers too. It features some great VFX from Zdravko Stoitchkov. I DP'd and onlined.

UNEXPECTED COSTS OF LIVING

LV=

PRODUCTION: JIST

A six-part collection of online ads for LV= with Mischief PR on the theme of unforeseen accidents around the house. We used a real family of non-actors and somehow squeezed all six films into two days of production (during a miserable heatwave). I DP'd on this, as well as offline and online edits. Each clip was supplied in multiple aspect ratios too – in the end, I think there were over 100 deliverables. I cry when I think of the QC process.

WEETABIX FOOTBALL SOCIALS

WEETABIX X THE FA

PRODUCTION: JIST

Did you know Bukayo Saka is quite good at making faces out of breakfast ingredients? There have been several Weetabix projects with the FA that I've edited, but these are a few interesting ones. The two yellow-banded clip represent a major creative pivot during the project when it transpired that none of the footage was shot for a 9:16 delivery. Uh oh! Luckily some slick animation from James Kuwamura helped save the day. Please excuse the dodgy subtitles on these too, those orphaned words kill me.

YOU DO YOO

YE OLDE OAK

PRODUCTION: JIST

For a vegetarian I have done more for the processed meat industry than I care to think about, but that's the power of nice clients like Fablr for you. They'd done a great rebrand for hotdog empire Ye Olde Oak and I used the colours of the redesigned packaging as inspiration for this goofy campaign, which sees different families enjoying the product in different ways (hence, You Do YOO). Everything about this is meant to be over-the-top, from the stupid costumes and eccentric food styling to the Kenny Loggins-style soundtrack. I shouldn't be allowed to direct.

OREO O'S

MONDELEZ

PRODUCTION: JIST

Whoa! Oreos? In cereal form? Sounds like a worldwide social campaign is needed.

I sketched a few concepts down for how we could play with the world's unhealthiest cereal using a Phantom Flex on G6's MoCo rig. Then I did some time remapping, Patrick Gibson added some slick 3D, Simon Keep added some playful SFX and The Farm supplied the grade. It was then translated into about 30 languages and distributed everywhere. There were a few more of these socials made, but I can't find them. I should check Greek Instagram.

SPRING SUMMER 2024

EMIKO

PRODUCTION: STANDBY PRODUCTIONS

I love this one. It's a real anti-social social ad. I chased Emiko as a client for ages – I love the stuff Coral and her team make, and her approach to slow fashion. We crafted an idea of what we wanted to make, and then the rest of it was down to some great camerawork from Rees Newnes, amazing modelling and a really really good location (love you Stockport). Delighted how these turned out, especially seeing as they were shot on an A7s mkii 🤯

GROUP PAYMENTS. SORTED.

COLLCTIV

PRODUCTION: JIST

An old project for group payments app Collctiv that stars the founder's brother Josh in an array of silly costumes. As a startup, they wanted to be able to target certain user groups once they knew who their primary audience was. It made for a satisfyingly modular approach, with dozens of deliverables featuring different characters. I shot and edited.
